Why--tho You Usually Want Long (about a Paragraph) Responses--You Might Sometimes WANT Short Responses

Commenting about 'having the last word,' I mentioned "the Community Guidelines" and how they tell us that 'comments that are useless' will be deleted---mentioning how people ought to "Report" comments that are nothing-but 'I don't know' and 'Yeah, whatever' (or 'FIRST!'). But--though the PURPOSE of posting a discussion (or -responding to a post or -replying to a response) is 'to give the other members here something to reply-to'--sometimes (even though the response you give IS just "I don't know" or "whatever") I'll just "Like" the response and leave it ... because sometimes all I want is 'agreement' or 'encouragement' or 'to confuse you'! But you might be careful and--if you post a reply shorter than one line--make one of the "tags" 'what you hope your brief response provides' (levity, clarification, agreement, etc.)
This is where you will find out what kinds of behavior are accepted and unaccepted on myLot. When in doubt, remember the Golden Rule!

thanks. Maybe it would be good to end your discussion-starting posts with "Any questions"?

I never tag my comments. And I assume people can tell levity from seeking clarification, etc. But I do sometimes leave what some might perceive as useless comments, like "I hear ya!" Or "I agree!"
