I am watching a Chinese science fiction movie (I don't know the movie name). While I'm a hard-core sci-fi fan, I am not enjoying it. The graphics and special effects are great and the story is kind of okay but movie characters have unlimited abilities. There is simply no way to kill anyone (not even the villains) in this movie. No matter what threat they are against, all of the sudden they build an ability to dodge it or fight it. They can pause time and duplicate themselves, beside other nonsense. Even the Greek mythology didn't go that far. Have you ever watched a Chinese movie and enjoyed it?

I would be okay if it was unrealistic to some degree. But not like that

I had watched good martial arts and gangster Chinese movies as well imperial or dynasty period war movies and I liked it but my eyes get sore reading the translation under the screen lol!

I didn't read any translation. I was able to get the idea without it.

I don't think we have a representative science fiction movie in these years. We are not good at filming it. The movies we filmed mainly are happened in the past or present rather than the future. The Chinese movie you watched may be just something like fairy tale.

@Madshadi According to the movie scene from your discussion, I probably can guess what movie it is. It is not science fiction movie at all. It is just a fairy tales but with special effects.

@youless I think you are right. But for a moment you would mistake it for a sci-fi movie, because of the incredible special effects

Chinese with subtitles. Chinese cinema has progressed significantly lately but they are still no match to the US cinema

Well, isn't it like that in movies? The protagonist will always survive but the antagonists will always die. And yes, I noticed that too, the enemies keeps multiplying.

yes but in other movies producers try to create characters with limits. This one is beyond comprehension
