Blue Laws

In the United States, there are “Blue Laws” in some states that forbid doing certain things on Sunday. For instance, pro baseball did not play on Sundays until 1933.
It wasn’t because the LAWS had been changed, but the baseball leagues just decided to ignore the laws and no one objected.
In the grocery store where I do most of my shopping, the beer and wine section is actually blocked off by yellow tape, like a crime scene, until NOON. Patrons are not allowed to purchase beer or wine until after noon on Sunday. Archaic? Yes! But it’s still enforced.
If you would like to see some other crazy laws, check out this web site.

I really had quite a laugh, not only reading the laws but watching the videos that were attached to each law.

yup.we have blue laws-they were supposed to take most of them off the books, but their lazy butts still haven't got to it.that's how you end up with the rarely enforced "don't throw pickles at trolleys" law..i don't even want to know WHY they had to write that law..
