Unexpect the expected!

A colleague shared on face book about a power interruption from 8AM to 5PM here in my city and in the nearby and distant villages as well. I shared this to my sister too, so last night, we charged all our mobile phones.
A friend from this site is a chat-mate. I told her about this. She said that tomorrow, their place will also have the same scenario.
I expected the lights to go off at 8AM but it did not. Only the cable network went off; the internet connection continued. So, my son attached the TV antenna and we enjoyed our favorite programs.Still, the 3 of us expected for the power disruption.
Until 5PM, no power interruption. It seemed the electric cooperative did not specify what areas are covered with the outage.
So, we have unexpected what was expected. That is why I was, and am here from morning until now, but I will switch the desktop off because I will watch TV.
Aren't you glad when circumstances like these happen?
Good evening all!

Yes of course it is OK to turn the hassle day to a better day with electricity. It is hard without power. A lot if activities arebinterrupted even phone interruption.

As the girl scouts say, "always be prepared". This is better than having to experience a power interruption. Blackouts are always major inconveniences.

yes because if our dams have a water level below the expected level to generate electricity, 'antimano' we will have power outages

@ridingbet Oh how I know it. Although I have to say that that has not happened to me in a very very long time. I hope it never does again.

yes, having power outage, especially in summer, is always disappointing, but it is necessary because our dams are below the water level to generate electricity that is why we have the rotating brown outs. we can deal with that now. even after the typhoon last October wherein we had black out for nearly/almost 2 months.

@fishtiger58 good thing though we had the generator fixed, so we had electricity for several hours only to charge our mobile phones but no internet still.

@ridingbet , here we were told they were cutting the water from 6 in the afternoon Wednesday to 6 in the afternoon Thursday. We filled bottles and buckets and then they never cut the water at all. And yes, I was very happy that they did not cut it :)

it is a sigh of relief when these circumstances as power outage and water interruption don't happen on scheduled dates. me too, i was glad the electricity continued the whole day yesterday and even today

it is, my friend. maybe the electric cooperative thought that our area did not have any problems at all that was why we were spared

yes, and it is better to have brown out during daytime rather than at night, where we grope in the dark

At least all of you were ready for it . So, when it didn't happen it was to your benefit.
What is annoying is when you didn't have an inkling that it will have a power interruption and turned out to be the whole day.
