myLotters LIKE spam!

...and I don't know why, but it is true.
We keep getting spammers...and Admin keeps deleting them...but some myLotters must want them here.
I don't know why.
It's rather ludicrous when I see an advertisement here, and I go to report it, and I see one (or more) 'Lotters have actually 'liked' the thing.
Why would you do that?
It is pretty plain to see that it is an advertisement...that is it spam...and it is against the guidelines...so WHY do people keep 'liking' this crap?
Please stop it!
They really do not need encouraged...

I liked this spammy article. 
Seriously, do you think it's people spamming in pairs, or making two accounts, and liking each other's comment?
BTW, thank you for your diligent work. The spam is usually gone when I get on here.

There are 4-5 'older' members here that I see doing it all the time...I've given up trying to ask them why pretty much, it's never done any good.

I see plenty of it, but then again I am here for a minimum of 5-6 hours each day, usually early mornings between 2-8 AM.

@LeaPea2417 Seeing one that happened just a few minutes before I started this prompted the discussion, and then one more popped up shortly afterwards. They are actually fairly common.

I must have a lousy memory because I was sure I liked Spam when I was younger but I can't stand it now...bought some a year or so ago and ended up tossing most of it out

Not just likes, but comments welcoming them to Mylot. If they were informing the offender that they were in violation of the rules I'd be more tolerant....but why? Obviously they didn't read the guidelines or the post.
