Are You Diabetic?

You don’t have to answer that, since it’s a personal question, but you might want to know something that I found out recently. My son has been doing some research about diabetes because he was told last year that he was insulin resistant and could eventually become diabetic if he didn’t make some dietary changes, which he did immediately. But, I thought that a diabetic person might like to know where insulin comes from. Years ago, pancreatic tissue from dogs was the first thing used to get insulin for patients in 1921. But soon after that, medical companies began to use sheep and hogs. Now, most insulin comes from cattle and genetically engineered bacteria. Now you know. But, you can ask your doctor.

That's very interesting. Vince is Type 2 diabetic and luckily doesn't need injections.

With Type 2 diabetes, diet is the most important thing to watch. Avoiding certain foods is critical and eating healthy foods can actually cure Type 2 diabetes.
