Places I'd love to see: Higger Tor

United States

One of the pages I have liked on facebook, shows pictures across Britain and Ireland of various landscapes and landmarks. I've got it set so that it is one of the first things I see on my timeline. I've saved many a new desktop image from this page (Britain and Ireland in time is it's name for anyone who might want to seek it out for themselves). There have been many good images of places I have both heard of, and not heard of before. Higger Tor would be one of those places I have not heard of before. Though I've not heard of it, I have in fact seen it. Atleast on film. Higger Tor can be seen in The Princess Bride, a movie I love almost as much as I do Clue. Now don't ask me which scene, because I don't know. I've only found out it was featured in The Princess Bride from wikipedia. If you want to learn more about it, or see an image of it for yourself, I'd recommend using google image search. I don't like to post images that aren't mine here as I believe it's still against guidelines.

It is quite a severe area. No trees or anything. Great hill to overlook the valley.

Yes, definitely not for the unsure footed. Which actually does include me at times, as I am very clumsy.

Perhaps if my job would cooperate and give me more hours so I could save extra money again and not be ever mindful of money reserved for paying bills! I have savings, of course, but I loathe touching it.

I had never heard of it. It's amazing what's on your own doorstep. I might have to go there now!

I think there' a lot more history in close proximity within England than even here in the US. I know of a few historic places here around, but not many offer beautiful landscape.

Yes, I tend to save them as a desktop image. I'd set them as a slideshow, but it would take up much needed memory / resources.
