The perfect pocket notebook

I'm trying to get into the habit of carrying a notebook again. I need something small, not too chunky, not too floppy, and not too colorful. Something compact but big enough to write a decent list in. I've tried all kinds of notebooks. I even have a mini notebook that's leather bound and hand made! I can't bear to write in that one. Maybe I'll use it for recording good quotes. I finally found the best notebook, and at a really odd place too. Dollar Tree! This one is maybe a hundred pages, plain lined paper, fake leather cover, nice and thin - about like a passport cover. It's about that size too. It fits well in the pockets of my fatigue pants. So far I've used it to write my weekly to do list, as well as some ideas I had. It's great to find a perfect little notebook! Needless to say, due to the Dollar Tree's spotty record of keeping things in stock, I bought twelve. Do you carry a notebook or paper?

I have dozens of notebooks in my cupboard but only some are of the perfect size for what I need.

I know how that goes! I'm about to give a friend one of my old ones for that reason.

@JudyEv Ha ha, mine usually come from being out and about, needing a notebook, getting a cheap one, coming home and saying "oh... why couldn't I have brought one of these others?"

@Rohvannyn I'm not sure where mine all come from but they do seem to accumulate.

I have one that I'm using now. My professor gave it to me as a gift from a christmas party :). It's a pretty pocket sized notebook that has a floral design on the side of the pages when it is closed (I don't know what to call that lol).

No, but it is easy to put notes into my cell phone if I really need to do so.

That's always handy. I've found, lately, that I simply need quicker access.

I used to, but now I keep my notes using the Notes app on my phone.

the dollar tree is an amazing place! well, things come and go there, because of the nature of finding things that can be sold for a dollar.

Exactly. So I am very opportunistic when I find something I really like.
