Last night was movie night with me and the roomies. We all like Tina Fey and so we watched this movie that has been out for a while. Essentially a gal (Fey) who is a news reporter goes over to Afghanistan to do reporting from there and it follows her through 3 years of army ridealongs, partying, and getting to know the culture which is mich unlike her own. She also has love interests during her stay too. What did you think of this movie? I was pleasantly surprised in Feys role in a drama rather than comedy. To me it shows she can act. Apparently this movie is also based off a memoir and the movie is "mostly" true (although I read that Ian was not part of the book at all). The book is called the Taliban Shuffle. Its on my to read list now. What were your thoughts on this movie? Or did you read the book?

I've not seen the movie nor read the book, but was intrigued by the name of the movie. "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" had a very specific meaning when I was in the Army. I imagine it still has that same meaning.
