Wii Fit

In the past my husband hasn't helped me get fit; however, I think watching our daughter and me really yo yo has finally made my husband notice and take action. He has moved my Wii to a room that we can set up the mat and board to work out several times a week. My husband hasn't gained a single pound in all the years we have been together and think his talk with one of his friends was a wake up call that we can't keep going up and down the scale. My daughter and I have lost weight in January and she wants to lose at least 10 pounds this year and I hope to go down just 5 more pounds this year. I feel with his support this time the weight will stay off, as we are both eating better. I want to make this the year that the goal sticks and there is no more plus pounds in any year. If anyone else is looking for a weight loss support person, then post below or send me a message, as I appreciate the support and am determined to reach the goal this year, as this one is huge and certainly going to be the hardest to maintain.

I use to have the wii fit board but I was nice and gave it to a friend for her autistic child to help him lose weight. I am looking to get another one here soon. You say a mat what kind of mat are you talking about a yoga mat?

@Fishmomma That is cool. Do they have anything for the wii that has yoga that you can do?

@Tina30219 Right now, I am still working on beginner level and am doing a customized workout, as the ones that have people under 50 really aren't for me. I tried the yoga one on television and couldn't keep up. My daughter might be able to do it. I have a large number of DVD's for my Wii and soon should be able to do the Gold's Gym Cardio Workout again. In the past have worked out when The Biggest Loser airs and have the DVD, so will be able to change workouts, so won't get tired of the workouts.

When I was a kid had a hard time really getting the right movement and after having a child now I'm really good at the hula hoop. Its certainly great exercise now and my daughter is so surprised at how many minutes I can keep it going around.

Thanks I know losing weight isn't easy for everyone. Its a challenge to get fit when the weather isn't ideal to go out walking, so I am using my Wii to help me get in more steps and be a healthier person.

With the health issues I have been having lately. I sure could use the added support. It is always nice to have others to help with the support and motivation. The funny things is I was just going to post a similar post but seen this one when I was scrolling through. lol

I was informed by my doctor that losing weight would help my back and am no longer feeling pain, so its working for me. My yoga mat is on the floor, so can do some of the exercises on it. January was a success for both of us and our doctors were happy to see results. Thanks for posting and I will be watching for posts to help you reach your goals. Have a great day.
