Mumps if some had the mumps as childern can they get them again as adults?

In my area all sudden at one of the colleges
There a mump sickness going around.
Since I do work retail I most likely will be doing
Business at work with students and staff.
Yes I had the mumps when i was little
So i an just wondering if i can get the mumps again?

It's possible to get mumps twice but pretty rare.
After having mumps you normally build up a resistance to it so to get it twice would be very unlucky.

I think if they had it when they were kids they will not have it anymore when they grow old. Complete vaccination for kids are also important to fight all the sickness that threatens their healthy body.
