@syeow1 You should do what you feel is acceptable to you. You don't have to be happy for others. Find and do things that make you happy. You can't go living a lie for long.

I feel for you. They say fake it until you make it, but sometimes you need to let out sadness, too. I hope you're alright.

I often smile when I'm embarassed, but I don't think people take it as I were happy.
I also fake a smile when nervous, but I don't force myself to smile, it looks fake but comes against my will.
Otherwise, in rare cases, I fake a smile at silly jokes. And that's it, that's all.
If you smile your brain will think you're happy, it's like forcing yourself to laugh.
You try at first and later you can't stop laughing. That's what some say, I'm not too sure myself.
So it shouldn't be a negative attitude.

Nah! I can't pretend. I just step away if I am not into it. I find fakeness very exhausting, I think it takes lot of energy out of a person and I can't handle that.
