Hyping a post before reading it...

On Niume people can hype a post (same as a LIKE) without actually clicking to read the post first. I am not a fan of this. If hyping is allowed without reading the post first then getting a hype from someone doesn't necessarily mean they've actually read your post and liked what you've written. They could have simply liked the picture that goes along with the post; or they just like clicking buttons. I am curious to know how many of the hypes I got for my posts actually occurred after the posts were read.
I will say though, having a high hype number can probably result in increased readership because people will deem it to be a popular post and hence actually click to read it.
Do you think it's a good idea to allow people to hype posts without reading them first?

No - that makes no sense...why like something you didn't even read.

Some people do that to make themselves known to the writer, so then the writer may check out their work.

@lovebuglena I would never like anything if I didn't read it.
