Welcome to February. The shortest month of the yr, but also the month for Love. Many great things happen this month. Also another chance to share our thoughts and talents and give presents to those we care about the most. Are you married, single, taken or just given up hope? Are you Happy with your life and where it is at. I know sometimes people become Sad because they are alone, but in reality you can always find something to Celebrate this month. This is a great month for going out to eat. Some go somewhere special like Red Lobster, Black Angus etc. Many even save up for this special time. Do you have any plans this month or just going to carry on as usual?

Valentine's Day was foreign to us as youngsters so we've never got into the habit of celebrating it. I think many of these special days are too commercialised in some ways although I have no problems with others celebrating.

Well, we did always Celebrate it in the School I went too when growing up with exchanging cards. Now that I am grown and married, we do usually do something special like go out to eat or something all because it is our Anniversary month as well.

@KrauseHome If it's a tradition you've grown up with, that's fine but otherwise it's hard to make it mean much.

We normally celebrate Valentine's day as a family. We splurge and get steaks to cook. Me and the kids make Valentine cookies, or cakes for the day. It is all family oriented.
