This 1957 movies is a great tale of mankind from the very beginning. With such stars as Ronald Coleman(as the spirit of mankind), Vincent Price(as Mr.Scratch, or the devil), Virginia Mayo(as Cleopatra), Hedy Lemarr(as Joan of Arc), Agnes Moorehead(as Queen Elizabeth), Cesar Romero(as Spanish Envoy), Dennis Hopper(as Napoleon), Groucho Marx(as a pilgrim negotiating with the indians to buy Manhattan Island), Harpo Marx(as Sir Isaac Newton), Peter Lorre(as Nero) (The man of tomorrow), Charles Coburn(as Hippocrates), Cedric Hardwicke(as the High Judge), John Carradine( as Khufu), Marie Wilson(as Marie Antoinette), and the list goes on.
Lots of dialogue and a delightful walk through history. Thoroughly enjoyable. It begins with a concern by heaven over the H Bomb and the devil and the spirit of humanity defend and argue over mankind down through the ages.

I haven't heard about it maybe because its too old. What I love about the old movies are the story that are rich with great life story, conflicts that had overcome by a persevering soul. God bless.

I saw this film a long time ago and it plays on TCM once in awhile. How can you not smile over Harpo as Isaac Newton and Groucho as a pilgrim!
