We stopped at McDonalds to eat or we would have arrived about a half hour earlier. We had about an hour and a half drive left when we stopped.
There was a Love's gas station attached and I got a big mug of French Vanilla Cappuccino. It was delicious and I definitely needed the extra caffeine boost.
The birthday party started at 3 pm and we arrived at 2:30. I was hoping the weather would be warmer here but it nearly as chilly as it was when we were home.
The theme of the party decorations is Pokemon. There is more kids here then I expected for the "little" party.
Their backyard is and home has changed so much since I was here last. It is so gorgeous!
They have a new little puppy that is a long haired Chihuahua. It is so cute I will try to get a picture of it later to post!
So far all the kids are having a blast! My son is even participating in a game I'm so happy.

@infatuatedbby Yes. She actually stayed at their house for two weeks a few years ago so on the drive into their neighborhood she was excited seeing little things she remembered.

Glad to hear you made it safe. I like french vanilla cappuccinos I am drinking a chocolate covered cherry one right now I got from the gas station on way home from our shopping trip.Glad to hear your son is participating and having a good time.

The other option at this place was White Chocolate Caramel. I didn't think I would like the white chocolate though but the caramel sounded really good. I wish I could have added caramel flavoring to my french vanilla. Chocolate cherry sounds pretty yucky though I hate cherries.

@Tina30219 On our way home I stopped and got a French vanilla cappuccino at Sheetz and there was a machine you could squirt in shots of Flavored creamer and I put in caramel. It was so good!

Pinatas are always very fun for kids. I loved this pokemon ball pinata. My kids love Pokemon.

I hate the way pinatas are now as they usually do not smash them anymore. They have strings on the bottom that the kids pull and when the correct string is pulled all the candy falls out. I guess this is better in cold weather as it can be done indoors without breaking anything but it is still a lot more fun I think to smash them.

I wish we could see them more often and they did not live such a long distance away. We only see them usually once a year when they come up in the summer or at Christmas

As usual my son was the only kid crying ha ha but it didn't last long and he and my daughter both seem excited to be staying the night here!

The drive was not horrible but my son gets car sick even with motion sickness medicine so he had to sit and do nothing while his sister was able to use her tablet. He was upset about that but he only complained a few minutes on the way there and the way back. It definitely could have been a lot worse. I am thankful it went as well as it did.

Thank you very much. I wish they lived closer so we could visit them more. A 4 hour drive isn't the worst possible thing but it's not great either.
