I was thinking about life and routines

And I discovered that I had to have many ailments and many years to be able to stay in bed until I felt I wanted to get up.
And I had to live alone to be able to stay up watching a late movie until it ends.
There´s something wrong in this picture. We should be able to have time off and holidays when we can use it with no problems.
Many years ago, my brother asked my husband why didn´t we have money for wonderful vacations when he had worked hard all his life and had earned a good amount of money.
My husband answered to my brother (who had no children) that the cost of each child was the same as the cost of a big house.
My husband had common sense and he was right.
There are many mylotters here a lot younger than myself. What do you think about this? Is it terrible expensive for you to raise a family?

It is very expensive when you have children-but totally worth it! Hopefully when the kids are grown my husband and I will have our chance for a vacation together. =) For now we enjoy our big family with lot's of smiling faces to brighten every day.

@marguicha I'm so sorry. To be honest I'm afraid the same thing will happen to me since my husband has already had 2 heart attacks and he's only 36 years old. =(

@thehousewife Thank you. I hope he will still have many, many years with us but it worries me.

It has been quite expensive at times yes. I was having to see Specialists for my youngest at one time and they used to charge a lot.
It was worth it as they found a treatment for that terrible Asthma the Bronchial type.
He was off School more times than in it sometimes.

Even with a health insurance, chronic ailments are very expensive. I hope he is well now.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Two of my grandchildren had to have ear surgery when they were small.

He is now thank you Margi. He was ill for so long until I went to the Clinica Universitaria in Pamplona and a Specialist there told me he was deaf in one ear when he had the asthma full blown through the congestion.
Many sleepless nights with an illness like that because you never knew which way it was going. It all came under control with the Clinica Universitaria and their help.

It's really expensive. Having children is not for those who want, but who can raise them with decency.
