I'm a person who safekeep things neatly and organised. But, I had to learn a lesson once from God.
It was during my brother's wedding reception when I had to load myself with artificial fashion jewellery by removing the gold jewellery. Since it was a busy day after wedding ceremony I was all tired. I rushed myself to get ready for reception. I'd kept the gold jewels in a cover which again I kept in my handbag. Someone called me for a group photo and I kept the bag in the room in which we were staying.
After sometime, I checked my handbag and the cover when I came to know that I've lost around 5 pouns of gold jewellery. I know it took great time and money to buy these jewellery when I'd just started to work after college days.
It was very bad and sad day for me and I'd to accept this because it was due to my carelessness. I must have given the bag to my parents .. so much pain!!
Later I convinced myself "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional"
Have you lost something that was very precious to you ?

@smileyhema I'm so sorry this happened to you. I don't recall ever losing anything as I like to be careful with my things. I have lost things but that was due to other people taken them and not returning them or giving them away without my permission.

Oh.. That's good that you take good care of your things. Leave about those cases, it's really out of your control.

@VivaLaDani13 That shows their lack of maturity. I can relate to the things that we possess and when that does not fall back to us. That will be insane. I've had many similar fights with my brother during my childhood. Even a pencil is a pencil for me and I preserve that like a Gold in my box. He will casually come and take it from my box. I will scream so much to bother my mom to come for referee work.

@smileyhema So true. Sometimes I just get a little bit angry as I miss those things. I just don't like when people will make a decision for me and leaving me out of the loop with something that is my business. But I do agree with you. Some things we just can't change.

Just like you , I lost a jewelry my mother gave me, when I was in high school. They're actually earrings and didn't know that one of the pair got lost.
Mother scolded me and never again did she gave me any jewel. Though , during a prom, she lent me a real gold earrings and I was really always trying to feel if they are still on my ears.

Oh my God .. sorry for that. I have lost several earrings during my school days. I will be returning home with just one of the pair. But, the one I lost in my brother marriage gave so much pain. Because, I realised the value of money by then and I got those with my pay check.
Now, everybody at home just says this dialog to me 'n' number of times - " be careful, don't lose this as well". I'm like "am not a kid"!!!
Never ever I will be so careless ..

@smileyhema yes last 10 years all stress.. depression and agoraphobia too. I don't think life would be good at my old age if my youth is wasted in agoraphobia and panic attacks. so yes peace of mind before life ends.. me too hoping it gets better. but it's late now. so yea that's why peace of mind.

Oh .. sad to hear ..! Even I lost a friend, as in, due to some misunderstanding we aren't talking to each other any more. It pains. I tried to connect with her many times but all in vain. Hope she understands me ..

@smileyhema well, we win some, we lose some, but my personality as a Scorpio is- i am a great friend but a worse enemy, so Scorpio people should not be messed up with.

I'm so sorry to know this! For me , I consider each and every thing of mine as valuable asset. Only because I LIKE it , I have bought it. So even if I have lost a small thing I feel for it. Hope you got my point.Sadly I have lost many stationery items during my schooling and college.

That's a nice way of looking at your possessions. Keep it up! And yeah, that happens for every students. We tend to miss those stationeries without our knowledge.
