What do you do when the drive thru messes up your order?

Seriously, I can't even measure how upset I am when this happens (especially when I'm late for some commitment or just when I'm starving). It's been happening a lot less often now because I checked the bags when they arrive before the delivery man leaves.
But everything is not bad, because whenever it happens, I earn some credit (an attempt by the stores to make up for those flaws).

We don't use places with a drive through set up, so ....
But, it would be an easy fix no doubt. Just let them not the error and get what you ordered. Guess that means checking the order before delivery leaves or you pull away from the window.

It happens all the time at a McDonalds near us every time we go through their drive thru something is either wrong or missing. So we have to go inside or go back through their drive thru. I can be very frustrating. I normally get an I'm sorry and they usually just tell us to keep the messed up food and give us new food that is correctly made.

I hate when I'm told to pull up at the drive-thru so they can wait on other customers since my order isn't ready. Once you ever pull up, you're held hostage because you've already paid and they have no incentive to bring out your order.

I can't say this has ever happened to us but we live too far out to ever order something delivered.

I tend to go in, and stay out of the drive thru, make sure they get my coupon in lol. But seriously I like going in and talking to whomever is helping me anyway and it saves me the wear and tear on my vehicle. It's not so bad

I guess even though they cover it up for some freebiesbit can't take away the fact that my time has wasted and loses my appetite as well. I don't usually comes back to the same store if I can order food somewhere better.

It is always a good idea to check your order before pulling away from the window to save yourself the time and hassle of having to go back inside. I worked at a fast food restaurant and mistakes happen.
