I said I would write more about the book, so here it is. Inspiring Messages for Daily Living is by Norman Vincent Peele and my copy was published in 1955. I don't recall where I got it from. I pulled it from the huge pile of books on my nightstand waiting to be read. Part One is Thought Conditioners. These are what I have been talking about that I am cutting out of the book as I read them, and what I am making copies of for my daughter to have. I can only assume they are meant to be cut out and carried with you as they are on a thicker and blue colored paper. There are 40 of them and they work! Each one contains a Bible verse and then a little "lesson" on how it applies to our lives and how to think about the verse in our own lives. Part Two is the Self-Improvement Handbook. There are 18 lessons there that include things like How to Pray, Learn to Relax Your Body and How to Keep From Getting Mad. I can't wait to read on when I get done with the thought conditioners. Part Three is titled What's Your Trouble? It contains 14 lessons on how to solve everyday situations. I look forward to getting to this section too. Part Four is called Spirit Lifters. It says to read this section at once with no interruptions if possible, then to read one Spirit Lifter a day for 31 days. These aren't made to be cut out of the book like the thought conditioners. Part Five is called You Can Relax. Again it says to read this part from beginning to end without stopping if possible. Then select the one lesson that made the greatest impact on you. Part Six is the "How" Cards. There are 10 of these cards, and again, they are on the thicker blue paper, for me meaning to be cut out of the book. A couple of what these are: How To Solve a Problem and How To Break the Worry Habit. I'm sharing this review of the book here because I think it's a wonderful book that many here would enjoy and find as useful as I have. For your reference, I searched and the book is available through amazon for as little as 62 cents plus shipping. Have an awesome day!!

So $4.62 plus tax. Not bad considering all the book has to offer. Isn't he also the author of the Power of Positive Thinking?

Probably so, I would have to search to see what else he's written. I was able to come back today and add my picture.

I believe my mother-in-law gave me a book of inspiration by Norman Vincent Peele several years ago. It was nothing like you described, though. Just a pocket-sized book of daily inspiration. What you described sounds like a group of books or a rather huge one. Either way, I am sure it is very inspiring and helpful for people. Glad you are sharing it.

A pocket size one would be great to carry in my bag too.

Oh, that sounds great. A true message is timeless. I may have to look for it to buy.
