Nursing as a profession, what do you think?

I'm a system analyst, yet I like medical courses. I don't think I can study medicine again, so I am contemplating to go for nursing science. I'm 31, can I still meet up or what's your view?.

Go for it. Over here if you start the nursing course at 31 you'd be qualified by 34/35...so plenty of active years ahead. I was in the healthcare industry some years ago and remember a student nurse who started her course at 42.

I wanted a nursing career and was a nurse's aid for a short while, until I went into the Navy. I think it's a good career.

I know that Nurse's are paid well. Personally, I couldn't do it. With your training as a Systems Analyst, @pureme, you might be able to do something creative and helpful in the administrative aspect of the medical profession, too.
