I know that a lot of you do not like TWD(The Walking Dead) but hey, I'm a writer. I get involved in the writers expertise and their imaginations. That's part of it. I like the uniqueness of the show and I like the characters. Where they have been, where they came from, and where they are able to go next. They are now being thumbed down by Negan, of the Saviors. He is a puke, jerk, inhumane ass, narcissistic, black, etc. character.
I am a writer. I love to see a good storyline. If I watch a movie I am committed to it. To the actors, the producers, writers, the editor, etc. But, I have to see it up to the end. No matter how awful the script or the acting may be. As a writer I have to see what the writer will do with this piece of work. I have to. Out of respect for the work and out of curiosity.
So I have been a fan of TWD since the very beginning. Seven years ago. Back when Rick left the hospital and went home to find his family gone and struck out to find them. Each character has a story. All the people that he has met along the way. Now, they are teamed up again and I am ready to see them kick some ass.

You have to admit Negan is a great villain. Chilling menace behind the Cheshire cat smile.

@Happy2BeMe .....I sure hate that smile of his. And, the way he coils around his body like a snake.

I do more or less the same with anything I watch. I have the mind of a Writer and a Script Writer.
I often see where and what they could have done better on or left out things like that and change the endings too as they are almost always the same.
Not my favourite Series but someone who is sitting near to me likes it. Have not seen it for ages actually. Reckon it will be back in the Summer.
"Colombo" was one of my favourites to watch and think about how they wrote that and "Danger Man" because he was truly brilliant at what he did.

Yes, I do the same thing. It's back tonight for the second half of the season. Not familiar with "Danger Man". Loved "Colombo".

Me too "Colombo" was one of my favourites. "Danger Man" is a 60´s Secret Agent Series starring Patrick McGoohan. He is on youtube so you can see a bit of it there very clever man indeed.

You may not like it. It is about people after armageddon and zombies. It has some very violent scenes. The zombies are grotesque. I find something else to look at when they are on. I have just gotten caught up in the storyline and they keep getting into something and I am cheering for them to get out. It actually helps me leave my reality for a while.

I loved the idea, but not so much where the story went. I really want to see a strong group work together, to make a new hoem for themselves, and get tired of some of the interpersonal drama

I understand that completely. I watch some movies and series for the same reason. I love Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Once Upon a Time, to name just a few. I love the characterization of each different movie/show and how the writer has worked with the character. It helps me as a writer to develop my own characters.

I still have to watch TWD. Having watch so many zombie movies have made me lost interest,Zombie-fatigue
. There are so many TV series to choose from and I'm more into shows that highlight forensic science, political intrigues and legal dramas. I watch mainly for enjoyment but if I aspire to be a writer, I believe the legal dramas provide a rich source of dialogues which to my mind are the most difficult to write.

I like the true crime shows too. But, TWD has good characters and a lot of what keeps bringing me back is to see what happens to them.
