Are Travel Articles Hyped up?

I see a lot of amazing travel articles around the web. It makes me nostalgic in a way that I want to go where they are talking about. They depict this beautiful place usually. I wonder how hyped up they are compared to a real experience. This one especially looks beautiful Have you been travelling and had a note worthy experience like this which you would share?

Why have you chosen Estonia as an example? I doubt that many members can find the country on a map.

@jhechorain I don't think you can say that a travel article is hyped up per se. You must first make clear what you like and are interested in. If you're interested in culture, enthusiastic descriptions of nature are not for you and vice versa.

Well even you said Estonia is not well known. Maybe the writer used exaggerations to get people to go there. I don't know, just I see basically the same lay out like this one around the web all over the place and it makes me wonder how genuine they are.

My bucket list would be different from their bucket list. Not everyone wants to travel and some don't want to travel to Estonia. You are probably right suspecting hype. We are not going to show you the slums of Charlotte to get you to visit North Carolina.

Maybe you should rethink this. I've read that in Rio de Janeiro guided slum tours are offered. :-)

Yes I think the good parts are shown more than the bad probably. Who wants to reminisce the bad stuff?
