Great pretender - this rose plant

I had written about this rose plant that acted 'possum' and then quietly gave a small shoot. Now it has given out a bud. It is firmed up now and so I can get rid of those weeds and loosen up the soil too.
Talking about pretending,I remember this song 'The Great Pretender by The Platters. Do you know this song too? I love it. As I am writing this post I am listening to them. You can listen too here:

I dug up a rose bush from my front yard, put it in a pot. I've tried growing roses indoors before without my luck. This rosebush must like my kitchen window. I've got new sprouts, leaves and even a few buds. I'll take a picture and post it when one of the buds bloom.
