Today I made quite a round of errands. First, I went to the bank to take care of a couple things and then I went to Target to see if their photo lab could make postcards from a couple of my travel photographs. They can’t.
But Staples can. I went there next. It’s $15.99 for 20 postcards of the same print. I was hoping that I could get a few different prints done, but this is OK because they will all be going to persons in different countries.
My postcrossing.com “friends” won’t know that I’m sending the same card to the next 20 persons. Then when I use those up, I will get 20 more made of a different print. I just can't find any good post cards around here. My daughter said they had them at the PX at Fort Lee, so we might go there this coming week.
From there I went to the recycling place that my daughter had told me about last week, because I had the trunk of my car full of bags of recyclable items.
However, they wouldn’t accept my stuff at that site because I didn’t live in the town. My address on my driver’s license is in the county, so I was told I have to go to the county site. I’m not sure where that is, but I will find out. In the meantime, my trunk is still full.
I was having my daughter take my recyclables to her house and add them to hers, but when she said I could take them to the recycle place near me, I decided to do that. Now, I will have to find the county site or go back to sending them home with my daughter. She has a free service that picks them up at the end of her driveway. We could do that here too, and it's FREE. The problem is that we have a VERY long driveway and we would have to take things all the way to the end of the driveway.
From there I went to JoAnn Fabrics to see if I could find a bird feeder. I had seen them in there before and sure enough I did find one and then I looked for some fabric to make some more Barbie Doll clothes for my great granddaughters. After I rested for a while, I colored my bird feeder in bright colors with gel pens that I do my coloring with. It looks really pretty. Maybe I can post a picture of it, if we can still do that. I haven't been able to post any photos lately.
I found out recently that more than 500 million Barbie Dolls have been sold and this doll, in all her forms, holds the title for the most popular doll ever made.
From there I went to a CVS Drug Store and ended up purchasing an egg cooker that I can use in the microwave and also some nighttime glasses that reduce the glare of headlights.
I ended up wearing them home because the sun was right in my face and they DID help a lot. AND they fit over my regular glasses. I had to completely destroy the box they were in to get to the glasses, so it was a good thing they fit over my glasses or the store would have been very upset with me.
From there I went to a dry cleaners to see if I could get a coat of mine repaired. The owner who does all the repair work and fitting was not there, so her son told me to come back on Monday.
Then I went to the grocery store and finally got home and after carrying everything in the house and putting things in the refrigerator, I could barely walk up the stairs to lie down. I was exhausted.
I’m going to get to bed now. I’m still tired, but I have another full day tomorrow. (Saturday) I will be preparing some Bible lessons for the Nursing Home that we will visit on Sunday morning. I have to type up some information and print it out for all those who attend. My daughter and I go one Sunday morning and one Wednesday afternoon each month. We had a nice group this past Wednesday. They really enjoyed the lesson and videos we showed. And they love to sing, so we sang a few Bible-based songs. It's an assisted-living facility, so those that attend are all able to participate.
Our weather has been unseasonably warm. It’s supposed to be in the 70s this weekend. Just 30 days to Spring. Our winter has been very mild, but of course, it’s not over yet.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I see OLD Barbie dolls at the Thrift Store all the time. I have purchased a few, but most of the time their "hair" is a tangled mess. I will still purchase them for the outfit they are wearing, if it is in good shape and a good price. Then, I just take the doll back to the Thrift Store and give the outfit to my great granddaughter after laundering it, especially if it's a pretty gown or a rather complicated outfit, that I couldn't make. Making Barbie doll clothes is very difficult, because of the small size.
