My husband and I own the house we are staying now, though we are still paying for the mortgage. I always consider ourselves lucky as the houses were so much cheaper at the time we bought. I don't think we can afford to buy a house now as the price goes up a lot in these few years, and I am a stay-at-home mom now.
Hope you'll be a house owner very soon, though you'll have more responsibility at that time.

When mom and I moved to Latvia back in 1994 we purchase a home here in the suburbs of Riga. However the difference here is that you don't purchase your home along with the land. Our garden area belongs to the government. Therefore we have to pay very high land taxes but the house is all paid for. This is a very bad thing because it is hard to keep up with the money and I would be happier if I didn't have these problems.

I wish you much good fortune in finding a nice place of your own.
It will be well for you.
My place is rented, but I am so grateful for it.
I have lived in two houses in my life that I partially owned. It was not for me.

Owning your own home was once the 'great Australian dream' but it is becoming more and more difficult to achieve nowadays. We are lucky enough to own our home.

We are living in a house we don't own but it's like our own already.
