Merchant of Venice was the first drama I read written by Shakespeare many years ago. This morning while coaching a student for her ICSE board examinations I re-read some portions of the play with closer attention and found that there were some fine points of the play I had never noticed. Has it happened with you sometime?

Of course! We can only retain 10percent of what we have read, and also I could say from personal experience that even though I am reading a book sometimes my head is not really on the story but faraway thinking of something that I never notice I got lost while reading

I can retain very little too. As there are many other things to read and do my mind has to share its capacity.

Many times when I reread something I learn something new or find a new thing to interest and entice me.

Actually, Shakespearean literature is so vast that wecan never fully grasp it. We always come across something new.
