Do you like using filters in the photos you take?

There are many apps that make the photos look better, more cool than they really can look like. Particularly, I think the most interesting photos are always the photos without filters, original photos. Many filters make the photos look artificial and I don't see anything interesting about it.

I don't like using the "canned" filters like the ones in Instagram, though I did use one a couple times. I do use filters in Lightroom and Photoshop when editing my images, though I keep it to a bare minimum. There are times when a graduated neutral density filter is absolutely needed. I would, of course, prefer to use the filter during the image-taking process instead of after but I no longer have filters that fit my lenses. These are on my "wish list".

Vince uses filters sometimes and also tweaks photos with software like Lightshop or Photoshop. I don't like photos to look too artificial either.

Yes I did one photo with a filter of the moon. It came out really well though I do not often use them. Not sure if this link will work to see it.
