Lunch Specials...

Our village "country market" now has Lunch Specials. They're doing these lunch specials to keep the store open and for now, this is the only place that you can get a hot meal at ,here in the village. Also, every Tuesday they have home made pie specials. You can have a slice of pie for $2.50 or pie a la mode for $3.00!! I always forget they have pie!! Today we stopped by for a meatball sandwich, Cole slaw, choice of chips and a 24 ounce fountain drink for $6.99. So I splurged and bought hubby and I lunch!! They were all out of pie by the time we got there though!! ~Peace~ photo is mine of our village country store

I hope the store is able to make a go of it with the lunch specials. I've seen so many of our small shop and eatery proprietors close up over the years and it makes me sad.

Sounds like you had a great lunch. I love pies but it's not a regular food in my country. We're not pie eaters. So if I want to eat pies, I have to bake them myself which I'm not really good at. My daughter usually makes the pie.

That sounds like a really good lunch and a great deal too. Maybe next time they will, have pie when you go there.
