The exercise room at Grand Oaks Development in Magnolia

Call This One "A Muscle Hustle" - Several earthshaking accomplishments were effected on this, a bright and sunny workday in the new countryside home here in Magnolia. Again, I piddled around, riding here and there on the mobility scooter. Rode on over to the edge of the development and was met there by a real "stopper" of a drainage ditch. There was no bridge over it, nor a pathway around it, so guess what I did when I reached the ditch. I stopped mobility scootering right then and there, turned around and headed back toward the big recreation center - the place with that great big and beautiful swimming pool and the nearby dog run, swings and slides for the kids, and that heretofore locked-up exercise building. This time around, however, I had possession of the pass code to thumb into the door entry passkey box. Once inside, out came the little Canon camera. With that in hand I did my indoor panorama camera routine, clicking off a bunch of photos as I made a 360-degree body rotation. When I got back to our new home, I ran those pix through one of my "pano" computer programs. As you can see from the composite photo, above, that exercise room is populated with many dollars worth of exercise equipment. Despite the high value of the exercise machines in the place, I was not really too tempted to give any of them a try today. The place was empty of people other than myself, and playing with machines like these is not something a person wants to do while alone. Back home I went. My bride and our granddaughter thought it wise that I make a (regular vehicle) run over to the big super market in town. Time to refresh the stock of good vittles that this country living affords. Serious stuff, such as cookies, cakes, milk, and soda pop. Oh yes. Image: The Grand Oaks Development Exercise Building - Gus Kilthau

Pity you came across a big drain. Who knows where you might have finished up.

@Hatley - Ms Patsie - Yes. A serious person needs to keep all of those serious items way up in front at all times. "Mother Hubbard" lost sight of that, so her doggie bit her left leg. -Gus-

@Freelanzer - The exercise room was not only full of equipment, it was as clean as a whistle - and odor-free, too. -Gus-

When you mention moving to the countryside I imagine a rustic, rough roads, broken down fences kind of setting. I didn't think it had wide well paved roads, well manicured lawns, swimming pool and even a modern gym. You must feel like a kid zipping here and there with that scooter. You're obviously enjoying your new home.

@josie_- Ms Josie - Moving from the largest metro area in Texas (and the 3d or 4th largest city in te USA) to the way-outskirts of little Magnolia IS a move into the countryside - fields, forests, lakes - and then, this "Grand Oaks" development. Whoever it was that dreamed up this place had some bigtime dreams. That scooter makes it fun to explore - no tired legs. -Gus-
