...... oh ok, decades ago
...... I hung out with a few other brats who had a unique language they shared which was intended to confuse the grownups. I didn't really understand the whole thing myself but I did try to learn what they termed pig latin
It sounded so easy when they explained it but like any new language it was hard to follow unless you used it a lot, I did not.
It kinda goes like this:
Remove the first letter from a word and add an ay to that letter, at least that is what those brats told me to do.
So, idkay oday ouyay nderstanday atthay?
Whenever I tried to follow a conversation those brats had I always got lost thereby becoming the laughing stock of that bunch.
When their pops were transferred to another base they all left and I never actually used it again. Have you ever used it?

My sister and I made up a few words in the place of curse words. This served the purpose of not getting into trouble by saying the curse words and it also helped up express our aggravations.

Cussing seems to be a trend anymore @Shellyann36 so many good movies have way too much cussing going on in them. Too bad really if ya ask me.

That's what I thought too. Those brats spoke so fast that I never could really figure out what they were saying even after they explained it. I do have to say it was fun to listen too and I got a lot of laughs out of it.

That's what those brats did, I never could keep up with them and after they left I never came across anyone else who used it.

I've never used it. But then speaking two languages I always had a second option already. I need to really concentrate if I try to speak or understand pig Latin.

I'm the same way, it was fun to listen to and try to speak but I never could follow a conversation using it.
