The American Bald Eagle is our National Emblem and has always been a protected species but that didn't stop a 17-year-old jerk from killing one. This particular Eagle has been in the Houston area where it has nested for years. Apparently Orlando David Delgado thought it was okay to kill it with a high-powered pellet gun. Now mind you the first shot didn't kill it, so he had to 'plug it' a few more times and then pulled a feather from its body as a souvenir. A nearby resident called 911 and Delgado was arrested. Do you know what the charge is????? Hunting without a landowners consent: which is a MISDEMEANOR!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? Just because the kid is 17, a slap on the hand is okay for killing our Nations's Emblem???? I am so pissed.
A 17-year-old who admitted to fatally shooting an American bald eagle with a high-powered pellet rifle in a Houston neighborhood has been charged....

Baloney @pammooratan . Just because he's 17 doesn't make him stupid and know it's wrong. If he shoots another person, should the law be just as soft? That's exactly where this kid is headed.

@nanette64 Birds and human are different. You can't compare a bird with human. Everyone eats some birds but not. think about human. . So both should be seen in different ways.

@pammooratan ALL life matters and apparently this kid either doesn't care or he doesn't accept responsibility for his actions.

@kingwriter007 That's what parents and schools are for. Unfortunately neither are doing their jobs.

I hope karma kicks that jerk so hard upside his head that his eyes stay crossed for the rest of his hopefully short life. I'd like to see it kick his father upside his as well, that stupid kid learned it from some asinine jerk.
