Today I'm gonna watch what the neighbors are gonna be doin. Those to the east of me have a couple boys that I suppose are tween 11 and 15 so they erected a basket ball hoop between themselves and the lot to their east which sits directly on the edge of the road so that they can play in the street. What I don't get is who authorized that thing, it sits on the portion of the land that belongs to my community and as far as I know the mayor hasn't a clue about it. Well, I'm not squealin, I figure at least those boys aren't gettin in trouble but boy does it irritate the dogs across the street from them when they're playin. Would you tolerate a basket ball hoop on your street? I found a shot of Ally being really lazy and thought I would share it here. Isn't she cute?

I would much rather have those boys playing hoops on the street than running around getting into serious trouble.

@rebelann That is sad. I wonder why they are not taking advantage of it?

True. Would you believe that I haven't seen anyone playing there yet.

That's a great shot of Ally being lazy and comfortable, but not ladylike. No basketball hoops on the street would be tolerated by my town or neighbors. I hope the boys have fun and aren't too noisy.

I haven't seen anyone use it yet but then the kids are still in school so who knows. Yeah, ladylike isn't in Ally's vocabulary

She is cute and yes, a lot of people have the movable basketball hoops, they push them to the street when more than one is there...but our street is for people who live here only, rarely does anyone drive through out area if they don't live here.

Thank you. The hoop is a permanent fixture, it took them a half day to get the hole dug and cement poured to secure the pole it's on.

Yes I would because kids need to play at home, BUT its needs to be in their yard and not the street where car are.

I can see that aspect. Luckily the road here is not well traveled but still, parents should keep stuff like this on their own property.
