We have loads of jack fruits and soon they will be ready harvesting. Not much demand here for jackfruits as cutting them is quite a chore. I distribute as many as I can and the rest go to the compost pit. We make several dishes and eat them too. I like jackfruits. The jack fruit seeds are tasty too. What's your story about jack fruits?

We have a tree in the backyard but it still didn't produce any fruit, not of season yet. When it does, it's too many. We have to give some to neighbors to avoid waste.

We have 3 trees and we always get countless fruits. This time I am trying to see if I can sell them.

@allknowing good lucks. A tree can produce a lot, let alone three trees. More money to add to your pocket

@prinzcy I have spoken with someone but he is taking his own time. Not bothered really. We are not relying on this for our survival

There are jackfruits here. But I am not very interested in this fruit. I prefer to the juicy and sweet fruits much more. The jackfruits are a little strange fruit for me.

@allknowing Here some people give a contract to take all the yieldings of a tree that season (even before they are ripe) for an agreed amount. Then he may sell it for a nice price at the market. But that is better than throwing them away,I suppose.

I don't know anything about jackfruits. What a shame you have to waste some.

Each tree yields abundantly and there are no takers.

@JudyEv There are many recipes and some are commercialised. But no one has the time to prepare them at an individual level. Cleaning a jack fruit for example is elaborate. Someone in the US has plans to make ice cream.

@allknowing You need to create a very special recipe using jackfruit that will have everyone yearning for more. Can you make pickles or sauce with it?

Father likes jackfruit so much. Sometimes we make sweetened jackfruit and use it as a sandwich spread.

There are many dishes that are made with the ripe jackfruit. The unripe jackfruit is used as a vegetable.

Never knew anything about jackfruit. I am willing to learn. Can you send a box on over? But seriously I will read up on this fruit. Perhaps we have it here at market.
