Had a nice night out with my friend..

Last night I went out with an old friend I knew in school. We hadn't seen each other in a few years as she was going through some pretty major personal problems for awhile.. We actually lost touch for a span just because of everything she was going through and how busy she was, but she called me a couple months ago to reconnect. We've been trying to make plans since then, but she works every other weekend, and my kids keep me busy almost every weekend. My coworker just opened a wine and dessert bar downtown.. Thursday night was opening night. So I asked my friend if she'd want to check that out this weekend, and finally we made the plans! So we went to the wine and dessert bar and it was lovely. We each had a glass of wine, I had an appetizer as I was a bit hungry. Stuffed mushrooms and they were to die for! Then we each got a dessert which was also incredible. Afterwards we went back to my friends place and stayed there talking until 1:30 in the morning! I got to hear all about her struggles over the past couple years.. but she seems to have life back together now, and hopefully we'll be able to see more of each other now that things have calmed down for her.
