Crabby

Well, today and for a few days I fear I have been a real crabby patty. Usually I can't tell it about myself, but today I sure can. I hate feeling this way. Knowing that I feel this way makes me feel even more crabby. I am irritated at people and their opinions if they don't immediately agree with me. I am irritated at having a good time. I am irritated and just sitting here doing nothing. The only thing that sounds sort of appealing right now is sleeping and in close second eating - with TV in between.
Do you ever get crabby and know it?
What helps?

A friend of mine has Bi-polar. I feel for your struggle. I am happy that you've found something that helps. Seems like today is better. Thanks!

Yes, but it's usually when I don't have enough sleep. What you need is a nap.

@FayeHazel That is what works for me. I think sometimes we are in denial that we don't get enough sleep.

Ah you are wise - I took a little nap after supper yesterday and sure enough, felt at least a little better.

@Jeanniemaries SO true, I know I prefer watching TV to going to sleep at the right time.

I get quite crabby a lot and Captain Crab is among my favourite Spongebob characters

What helps you when you're feeling less-than-cheerful?

I'm a little different...Something can annoy me and I let it build up and up and up and then I explode which takes people completely by surprise. I think people would rather me be just crabby instead of me exploding. lol

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds hard to deal with and I hope you find a way. I have a friend who is very bold - if something irritates her she will say it right away. She has been a great help to me.

@FayeHazel So you're a low talker! Did you see that on Seinfeld?

Ah yes - people who don't listen when I'm talking (which is almost everyone, doesn't help that I have a quiet voice) get me each time.

It's a good point, -- we all experience these things, sometimes. Even if we don't like it. :-) Thank you.

I am usually a very ebullient fella, so rarely feel crabby.
Things that can make me crabby are feeling tired or being ignored by beautiful women.

Sure, I have my crabby days and I just do my best to shake it off with a walk or exercise of some sort, maybe listen to good music and just hope the crabby mood leaves quickly.

If I don't recognize it, my husband is delightfully eager to point it out.
Nothing particular helps.

I don't know, but I've been pretty crabby the last few days myself.

I can't wait for it to leave. Better today but I feel antsy under it all
