Busy, Tired, and Happy

Sunset and Valley as Viewed from Penman Springs Vineyard in Paso Robles

Today was on of those days when I had to change my plans. We had a work crew at our Templeton house for inside and outside, and I had to work along with them to guide and instruct. That meant I had to deal with piles of books along the sides of the staircase. I had to dust them and pack them and move them. Right now they are in the back of my car because I have to move them into this house somewhere and keep getting rid of many of the books I have here. Many of the books in the car are to be donated, but I have to keep track of them to subtract from inventory since I bought them for the business. I worked for two hours solid on my feet before I could leave. When I got back here I heated a frozen dinner because I was too tired to cook, and I knew Hubby was eating elsewhere. While I ate, I put my feet up and watched two episodes of Forensic Files. Then I decided I was going on a photo shoot in wine country during the hour before sunset. I'm working on a blog post with photos of wine country during late winter, and I didn't have all the photos I wanted for this part of our wine country. Even though I was tired, I enjoyed walking around the vineyards for a bit and shooting photos. The sky was like a big upside down bowl of clouds over my head. I heard cows mooing and birds singing as I walked. It was just so peaceful after my hectic day. I only have one more day before my next root canal, so I know I'll be busy tomorrow, too. I choose this photo to capture the mood of most of my walk. This was taken looking down from the edge of the Penman Springs Vineyard in Paso Robles. I love the view of the valley, and I gave me a good view of the setting sun. What do you think? I could have stayed home and watched TV, but this was so much more satisfying.

YOur photo more than justifies your choice to take that walk rather than watching tv.

@bagarad My camera is glued to me so to say. I too have a passion for photography and my camera never lets me down. But I depend on my own garden as around me I only see roads that have nothing to capture.

@allknowing Gardens are great for photos, since they are always changing.

It made me forget I was tired. Getting out on a photo walk in the country makes me feel more alive and satisfies something deep in me.

The sky in your photo looks like ours at the moment. I don't know if there might be a storm brewing perhaps. Good luck at the dentist. I have to go again on Wednesday.

My husband left to get a crown practically across the street for an appointment three hours ago and he's not home yet. About an hour ago I heard very loud sirens in the neighborhood. I hope he's OK. I'm hoping he just did an errand on the way home or went to the Templeton house to look for something he lost or get the information he needs to call and check his bank balance to see if his Social Security Payment arrived on time.

@JudyEv Yesterday's root canal was fine. I had no pain when I got home, but I wasn't as deeply sedated as last time even though my dose of the sedative was the same. Strange. I knew and remembered a bit of what went on in the chair. My next appointment is Wednesday.

@bagarad Keeping fingers and toes crossed. I don't know how long crowns take. I have one to look forward to the appointment after the next.

Thank you, Judy. I did have a nice day, and I took over 300 photos on my series of walks yesterday.

@jstory07 I don't know how many new discussions I could start to keep up with that many photos. I'll share some, though.
