learn to say, "i am sorry" no matter even if you are wrong

a number of times we find it so difficult to admit we are wrong, why is it so? because human beings are just a rational being, we do anything for the gain of it. relationships crumble because we can't say the simple "i am sorry" try it, whether you are right or wrong. it works like a miracle. but why is it so difficult to say?

I think it's hard to say without an explanation. A simple I'm sorry is misleading if you are saying it to smooth things over. I prefer to say I'm sorry we disagree, I'm sorry I've made you upset, I'm sorry if I've been argumentative....unkind, unfair, etc. Saying it always helps as long as one is sincere.

well explanatory response you gave, that's cool. the bottom line is saying "i am sorry ............" we could add that considering the case or cases for saying

I unhesitatingly say " I'm sorry" if I feel I was actually wrong. But if you say sorry for something you don't think was wrong, don't you think it would encourage them to go on doing wrong again and again?

I don't think so, I think saying sorry at that particular moment is for peace to reign, after that, when all is settled, then you will find a proper way of saying it

@pureme You're right. But if you say sorry once, don't you think it would be difficult for you to prove you were right?

I don't mind saying sorry as soon as I come to know that something has gone wrong from my side. I don't shy away from admitting my mistakes because I know that I am not infallible. Those who say 'sorry' to us (for their mistakes) surely gets respect from us.

We can say this..but never repeat to same person..if we have not done anything wrong and saying him /her sorry again and again and they are not forgiving being in ego..we also face these peoples sometimes

yes, it all depends on whether you want the relationship to work or not. if you really determined to make your relationship work, you can say it a million times.

@Anshu246 that is true, some people are not meant to be with you, actually, the case of being married is totally different especially when you don't believe in a divorce. In that case, you will do everything within your power to make the relationship work.

I would love to say "I'm sorry" to make others feel better given that they don't capitalize on that and realize their own share in the encounter.

@pureme it also depends upon the relationships. You will not say sorry to a stranger but you would say it to the people whose nature is known to you.

good. if you say you are sorry, it will leave a sense of guilt in the heart of the other people, knowing fully well, he was the one wronged, not you. but to say 'i'm sorry' is a problem we are all facing.

I do not agree that you have to say "I am sorry" if you are right. I agree that it's never good to start a fight, but to agree all the time and to be "sorry" for no reason does not bring anything good.

yes, you are correct. at times, your friend might think at the moment that you are wrong, but for the sake of peace, you have to admit that and later let him or her know you were right.

Oh that's so cool to hear, please do try it, it helps to make peace reign in the home. Not trying to do it leads to malice.
