I had been tossing around getting a cell phone for a couple years now. Also, checking out different plans and asking friends what they had. My daughter now has one that we will use together. It's sure good to have one. I feel like a up to date person now. Almost. 1. Get in touch with EMT. 2. Take a pic of where you parked so you don't forget. 3. Utilize all those apps they are coming out with. 4. One more place to play games and make a fool out of yourself with selfies. 5. Actual make phone calls. Hehe Happy Fat Tuesday. As Ellen said today on her show Fat Tuesday is a day when you can get drunk before noon and show your boobs for beads.

I find a mobile phone essential these days. It keeps me contactable, especially considering how rare telephone kiosks are the days.

I don't go out and call out only to make appointments and such. I mostly wanted one incase our land line goes down. We have no way to even report that without one.

@Asylum .....Used to be a phone kiosk down at the library and its gone now. None around anymore.

I finally got a cell phone only because I needed the uber app---I don't have a car. Unless I am using uber I do not take the phone with me all because of people doing the first 4 things you list and don't need to do #5!!
