Do You Love Your Body?

@sunrisefan messaged me to suggest watching Embrace two weeks ago.
So I did. I like it because it is a realistic movie, a journey of a formerly slim built woman to a chubby woman.
The movie also made me realize that I, after all, love my body, despite some fats in my tummy area and some imperfections.
And because I love it, I exercise whenever I can and usually it is only on weekends . But at least I exercise.
I always get to laugh a lot, especially with my hubby and officemates. Laughing makes us feel young and alive, right?
I also would just eat an apple only for dinner whenever my tummy fats get big. Apple is said to lower cholesterol aside from its other healthy benefits.
I actually eat a fruit or two every day.
I take vitamins E, C, B1 6 12, calcium and fish oil to help me be healthy. So far, for the past two years. I never had coughs and colds, despite all around me at the office, most are having these.
I also eat fish and vegetables and take off the fat of pork and scrape the fat at the back of the chicken skin whenever I eat fried chicken.
Upon waking up in the morning, I drink 2 tall glasses of water.
Most of all, I lavishly pamper my body with moisturizing lotion.
That’s how I love my body. How about you guys?
Can you share some healthy tips you do to keep your body healthy as a way of loving your body?

Very healthy lifestyle :) Good thing you don't eat cotton buds dipped in Gatorade :) (Glad you liked the movie and got inspired with it.)

@SIMPLYD Hehehe! I had meetings :) Will resume our walk probably when the regional meet is finished because there are many athletes using the ovals and the coliseum.

I think for me I try as much as possible to be conscious on my body posture. I have a dextro scoliosis already so I better watch out how I sit or stand.

That's really good what you do to your body. I try to limit my rice when I eat. I rest and try to sleep well at night. I take only Vitamin C and B complex

That is good that you are limiting your rice intake. At least at your early age , you know the bad result of having too much rice.
Indeed resting and sleeping well, really contributes to a good health. It is good too, that you also take those vitamins especially vitamin C.

@averygirl72 I did eat those when I was in your age. I just started slowing down on them when I reached my 40's . Better to be safe than sorry as they say, when one is already getting older.

hello my friend....
I obviously love my body, because this is what I only have in life. I cannot exchange my body with someone else either. Beside that, self image problem is only for teenagers. We as adult, never see it as a problem ;)

I try my best to take care of my body and not put on weight. As soon as I wake up every morning I take a glass of water with some drops of lemon. I go to the gym two times per week. I limit myself to soft drinks and drinks containing too much sugar. I try to limit my intake of processed foods

I really try to drink water. And now I am putting Nivea cream on my face. I used bench soap. But I don't like lotion really I can't breath no. Kidding.
I love eating green veggies and take vitamins for blood and vitamin c. God bless.

Bench soap? Hmm, I haven't seen and tried that yet. Maybe I should look for that one too? Is it a mositurizing soap?
Bea ALonzo also doesn't put lotion because she doesn't like the feel of a lotion on her skin.
For Lotion its Nivea for me. Not sticky.
That' good to know that you really are taking good care of your body.

To be honest, I don't really love my body nor do I dislike it. I feel indifferent to it if that makes any sense.

I have always loved my body and I take care of it since I was a very young girl. I have always been careful to wear the right shoes if I needed to walk a lot, to maintain a good posture walking and sitting and not to wear too tight pants to avoid cellulitis. I take a warm bath with moisturizing bath oil every evening.

That's good to know that you don't have much ritual in keeping yourself fit. 1 1/2 cups of rice, wow , you are a rice eater. I only can eat a cup of rice. I am more on viands though.
Conzace was prescribed to me in addition to my existing vitamins when I had my alopecia areata. But after my hair started growing , I stopped. It's a bit expensive. My calcium supplement has zinc , magnesium and D already.

I've reached the age when I do what I like and that includes eating what I like. I had a very strenuous life style when I was working and that kept my body in good shape. Yes, I've put on a few pounds since retiring, but who cares? Now is my time to relax and enjoy myself. I don't take any meds at all and there aren't too many people of my age who can say that.

Wow, you have no medication at all. It only means all through the years and until now , you are in the pink of health . And that is just so nice that you aren't restricted to eat any foods at all.
Indeed, you really should be so proud of that.
I am working in keeping myself always healthy too .

Water is good for our body actually. I drink a glass before lying in bed as advised by an alternative doctor. It prevents possible heart attack.
