Meenakshiyamma the proud woman

I have written about Kalari, the martial art of Kerala in previous discussions. It is a proud moment that 73 years Meenakshiyamma got Padmashree from the Govt.
She is a Kalarigurukkal and married to late Kalari Assan Raghavan. She start to perform it from the age of 7. There are many disciples of Mennakshiyamma including foreigners. You can see the real fighting skills of Meenakshiyamma.

that is, i think, a good self-defense martial art, great for ladies who work graveyard shifts in their work and where danger lurks
