Online Survey Sites to Check Out

I saw an online survey site mentioned in a post here, so I googled it. From reading their website, Mobrog sounds similar to GlobalTestMarket, so I might sign up. When researching online survey sites that accept international members, I always search forums and blogs based in the Philippines by Filipinos. I want to read about their good and bad experiences so I'll know what to expect. One blog was by a stay-at-home mom who listed her current earnings from several online survey sites. I wrote their names in my notebook to check out later: Ann-Kate (now Surveyon), iPanel, AiP and ViewFruit. I also browsed PanelPlace and took note of Toluna. Then I remembered emailing YouGov last year to inquire about their site. I will reread that email and research that site again. I keep telling myself I will join more survey sites to add to GlobalTestMarket. Now I have 7 sites to research and choose from, so no more excuses! I prefer online survey sites that pay through PayPal, but I'm also open to receiving Sodexo Gift Certificates/Vouchers because Sodexo is accepted as cash payment at big supermarkets when buying groceries here in the Philippines. You just have to ask the cashier first before lining up. If you're a member of any of these online survey sites, may I know your experience with them? If not, how do you research online earning sites? What convinces you to finally join?

I don't waste my time on survey sites...you go thru all the questions to find out they don't need/want me LOL!

i get screened out, too, at globaltestmarket, when i don't fit the demographics they prefer. i would prefer swagbucks or bing rewards since i search a lot, but they're not available to filipinos yet.

Some of the sites are good but the survey sites can be a bit of a con. You answer questions for about ten minutes they they tell you sorry you do not qualify for the survey but you have already answered many of their questions. It is a bit of a con really!

some sites like globaltestmarket give you 5 points when you're screened out. but i've also experienced getting a glitch midway and had to abandon them.

That's why I gave up on newvista in the UK, despite it being a good payer on the seemingly rare occasions when people qualified. I know someone who got the £50 twice but I got fed up with the rejections. We writers get enough of them.already! I find YouGov much better.

I'm not a part of any of those that you mentioned above. I stopped doing surveys a long time ago but i do micro-tasking on Spare5. That's the only earning app i have. Sometimes i get curious whenever i see new earning apps/sites so i usually just read reviews first and the How-It-Works part.

it really depends on the kind of project they accept from clients -- it usually involves tagging, titling, rating, editing, annotating, reviewing.. it says that survey is part of it but i haven't received a survey task yet.

@MGjhaud no bidding? the rate is fixed? do they pay immediately once you've completed the task?

when i read about any online earning site, i always check if it accepts international members and if it pays through paypal. i actually think your demographics is good for survey sites, but if you don't have the time or patience to answer long surveys, you'll probably give up on them. what tasks do you do on spare5?

Would you like to join us in another online writing site? You can PM me should you want. At least, I have two sites now. It also pays through PayPal.

I am new to online earning and discussions like these are very helpful. I wonder though if it's enough to turn into a fulltime job.

@Beatburn true. i tell myself that if i lived in the us, i'd join a lot of online earning sites. hehe. i know i'd benefit from swagbucks and bing rewards since i search a lot, but they're not available to filipinos/philippines yet. oh, well. you can also read my interaction with joy within this post about a microtask site called spare5.

i don't think so. you need several and a variety of online sites because you can get bored doing the same thing. however, i also feel that some demographics get more surveys than others.

You just reminded me about YouGov! I only did the surveys that were given to me (they have mini surveys or questions, but I believe it's not for money) . . . they were pleasant and not time consuming. However, it does take a long time to get to pay out this way (which I believe was in the form of gift cards). I think I am 75% there to pay out, but have not returned in a long time. There was another one that look a long time . . . Paid Viewpoint. Slow to get to payout but the surveys are easy (maing about "you") and not time consuming as well. What I liked about both sites is that the surveys are not like the typical, long boring surveys - you don't get the run around either. However, they are not places you spend a lot of time in, so you get what you get at that time.

@hereandthere I know YouGov sends you the emails, but I'm not sure about PaidViewPoint (but when you get there, on both, it will say if it a survey is available to you or not). It's really different from the normal surveys, so I don't really understand where any money comes from - but well, I guess it somehow does.

so both yougov and paidviewpoint sends you an email and you answer it? that's the kind i like because i don't like going to sites to log in. that's why i want a few more since they're slow and i get screened out.

@hereandthere I'm afraid, I have ran out of patience .. I feel that I owe it to myself to have short patience these days ..lol .. part of the very ungraceful ageing process ..

I am only active on two. YouGov is a very important polling organisation in the UK and I have been paid by them a number of times with no problems. The other one I do is PaidViewpoint, which I joined on a referral from someone at Bubblews. Most of their surveys pay very tiny amounts, especially outside the US, but they take very little time at all. They also have occasional first-come-first-served surveys which pay much more if you're quick, sometimes just for answering one question. They pay by Paypal and I have received a payment.

thanks for that. yeah, sometimes i don't feel like opening the email from globaltestmarket yet, then by the time i did, it's 'closed.'

@hereandthere VF, and GTM also excludes me, like panelplace. i receive notifications about surveys, but always excluded because, "how can i comment on surveys about traveling, and my age as well"?

I joined 3 survey sites before, iP, VF and GTM... I had cashed out a few times on iP... Once at GTM and never on VF... I got discouraged with VF when I had completed the survey and I didn't get my points. There were times when the survey on iP is also given in GTM and vice versa, so if you had already answered and completed in one, you can no longer answer on the other. I haven't visited those survey sites for quite some time now.

I am from the United States so I can do many survey sites but I know out of the US there are less options. I do GlobalTestMarket and Toluna. I do many others as well but I am not very active on any of them. I earn better on the survey sites but I like mylot more so this is where I spend most of my free time.

Nice. Let us know how they go! I have heard of Global Test Market but never used it. I think some of the surveys I do on other sites come from there. I keep meaning to join Ipsos but have been putting it off. Already a member of Opinion Outpost, SurveySavvy, Treasure Trooper, Cash Crate, Swagbucks.... I feel like that is enough for now. Theres a website out there I believe called SurveyPolice that is a good resource for learning which sites are scams and whatnot. Let us know how it goes!

i think it's the same way here. some of the survey sites seem to be "related" to each other. i just want to add one or two more online survey sites since i always get screened out due to demographics, but they have to be sites that are available to filipinos/philippines so i have to research them first.

Same as @AbbyGreenhill I have wasted too much time to discover at the end of the questions that they did not need my survey.

I'm too careful, I never join anything until I have honest reports from firm friends, kist be careful, there are a lot of scams going on. On FB they have been talking about the scams that lure you to give your info and why not to do it. Good luck.

I tried MoBrog because a friend referred me. To be honest, I don't like it. Why? Because the moment you answer te survey it will tell you the survey is done when I haven't finish it. So I disregard that. And beside, there is no option for your to enter you PayPal account once you registred.

was your friend ever paid by mobrog? did you tell her about your experience with mobrog? what did she say?
