Good News On My Ancestry Search

I just found out today, from another cousin, that I have a “second” cousin, the daughter of a “first” cousin who has already done a lot of research on my mother’s side of the family and she is going to send me a lot of information. I’m so excited.
This will really help me to fill in some of the “blanks” that I have on my family tree. I’m going to wait until I hear from her, before I join “ANCESTRY.com.”
Of course, I still need to get information on my father’s side and on my husband’s mother and father, for my grandchildren.
It’s my father’s side of the family that has the white streak in their hair. If you look at my photo, you will see the “birthmark” that I inherited from my father’s side of the family and passed down to my children and grandchildren.

I am n ancestry just about every day, you can however find lots of things on Family Search for free so you can still be working while you are waiting.

I tried "Family Search" but I couldn't figure it out. It wanted me to supply information instead of giving me information. Perhaps I was doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

You can probably tell that I had slight sunburn, and you can see that I had on sunglasses when I was out in the sun because it's very "white" around my eyes. I hadn't noticed that before I posted the photo.

Just realized that I have been so busy lately, that I haven't hopped over to Ancestry to see if I have any new cousins. The last I looked there were about 250 or so but some are quite distant. Must do that now!! Thanks for the push... and love the info about the streak that was passed down!!

I've seen that also. There is a fellow in my congregation whose hair is very "patchy" with white. He colors his hair most of the time, but when it grows out, I can see the "patches" of white hair, especially when I sit behind him. It's rather odd.

I sometimes think about researching the old family tree, but can't work up the enthusiasm. When I was working on the Island of Anglesey, I thought about looking up my mother's side of the family, but the island is full of people surnamed Williams

Yes, Williams is a very common name in the USA also. I know several persons whose last name is Williams.

That was cool to know. We came from a big family and we know everyone about my grandparents and their parents and their cousins down to our generation's. Maybe because we live in a nearby area. And we visited ghe house of every relatives we have during Christmas. God bless.

Yes, I'm anxious to receive it from her. Hopefully, then we can talk on the phone or email each other. She wants copies of the photos I have.
