Do you like saying "I told you so"?

Not me. I don't say that. what good does it do? I just say, "No one listens to the old lady" We are back at fighting fleas and a lot of it is because they brought the kitten in and did not immediately start with keeping the fleas down or spreading them through the house. Also, they pick stuff up from peoples houses etc. and don't make sure its clean before they just move it in. But like I said, I am just the old lady here. so why listen to me. right? You would think having lived in Florida , all except my daughter, all their lives they would know more about fleas. When I lived in AZ, this never happened. As soon as I got back here, I started having to give poor Coco the flea tablet to keep them off her. May be one reason she kept getting sick having to live with monthly medication because of fleas. I still say she would have lasted a few more years if I had had any choice about the move.

Like you said its not a lot of good saying it sometimes. There is a time for them to listen and sometimes and most of the time they never do. So sorry about your situation bunny. I have not had a very good afternoon although that is no consolation. Our Dog has something wrong too but by the time we can afford to get him to a Vet its already cleared up again. I keep you in my thoughts and send you all the best wishes I can. Take care and I hope things take a turn for the better.

@bunnybon7 Thank you bunny but he is okay most of the time but he does have the odd one. Sypmtoms that are hard to define and by the time we get to go anywhere he is alright again. He will be fine thank you. I am just learning something about the condition its not serious at all but bothersome yes.

I know it's not nice to say it . . . but admittedly if I know someone very well, I just might blurt it out . But ugh on the fleas! I know once they are there, it's not easy to get them out.

yes its like a plague these darn fleas. terrible but if everyone had listened to me about when, where and how would not happened. they might have known if i couldn't keep coco in this environment , it would be lots harder for some one with no money or enough sense to know how to keep them and the family safe and happy

@bunnybon7 I agree - if they just did what they were supposed to do to keep those darn fleas out, there wouldn't be this situation now. It's work to maintain keeping away the fleas, but it's much more work to kick them out.

No, I don't say it, but I may think it. So sorry about Coco. How awful. My son puts a prescription medication on the back of his cat's neck every month to prevent fleas. He's never had one.

@DianneN could be the area i guess. its just that i have never had a problem any where else. they are harder to control here and especially i think the young people i always live with while here don't seem to know how to avoid getting them

bathing and constant vaccuming.those always worked best for me. my cats don't go out,but for a while there my husband's friend kept bringing them in. i finally had to explode one day about the cost to me before he finally did something about it.

yes it is seeming to be an uphill battle. almost got them done, then another batch starts turning up. daughter says we need to spray for eggs and all but i need to stay out of the room till it dries i think.

I am sure it isn't good for you to be around the fleas either. I gather you have decided not to move? No I don't like saying I told you so but then my nickname is grandma who knows everything so I am not the old lady no one listens to.

wish my bunch here felt like that. sometimes i am not quite sure how or what they think of me but most times they tell me they love me and get all concerned when i am sick, but still like all other family try to get away with what they want their way,

well i know i don't know it all. its just that the older we get the more we know and i am the oldest. daughter is second oldest and often agrees but tends to go to her bf's side a bit too much. then there is the 20 some old

Keeping up with the fleas can be a constant battle. We run toss pillows and pet blankets through the dryer regularly to help kill fleas etc. We think this helps.
