I’m in a different country lol
This morning my older son drove to Wales and into Swansea to view Swansea University tomorrow.
We arrived here this afternoon checked into a hotel, and then went into town to see a little bit of Swansea before it got dark. We had something to eat then headed back to the hotel. Now I'm sat on my bed with my laptop for a time, need a coffee too lol.
It’s been a tiring day and I might have an early night, you is your day going?

Oh wow, you are so good, it took 3.5 hours to get here and next to know traffic.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Very lucky guess then, I sure it could take much longer if the traffic was bad, but we timed it right :)

@kevin1877uk I wish I could say it was just a "lucky guess" but I've looked at a map of the UK before and seen where Wales was, and knew Plymouth was relatively close.

@kevin1877uk @koalemos Can you guys explain to me this whole UK thing? Isn't Wales still part of your country? Or is Wales, Scotland, etc. separate countries united under a common government? Help me make sense of all this! haha

Although England, Scotland and Wales do come under the general label of the UK, Scotland and Wales are countries in their own right, There is a Scottish parliament and Welsh National Assembly both have the interests of the people of those countries, Both Wales and Scotland have the Celtic language, If you visit either, you will see road signs in English and Celtic.
I hope that helps.

@moffittjc You are welcome, I wouldn't really know that. My landlady is from Wales and she took Welsh at school so I guess they still do to keep the language alive. Not sure about Scotland.

@kevin1877uk Okay, thanks for explaining Kevin! That makes a lot of sense. Is the Celtic language slowly dying out in favor of English, or are those countries doing everything they can to preserve the language?

@kevin1877uk give me time (money might help too). I've managed to knock a few things off my bucket list in the last couple of years.

Does Wales count as a different country? It has its own government like Scotland but neither are free from English rule.

Yes Wales is a different country, they have some governing from England but not all and they do have their own language.
