...Disappointed with the Taxi charge...

Since my husband is not here today, I had to drop my daughter at the Dhamma school in the morning.
There is a taxi person whom we always take for hires, I called him in the morning and ask him to come.
He came 10 minutes late, but I didnt tell anything becaise its morning and also the dhamma school was not started when we reach there.
I just dropped her at the gate and came straight away, we didnt even stop at a shop or anywhere. When Im going to pay, he asked me Rs.350/- its like $2.2.. I was shocked, we went for only 5km..
I got disappointed and I decided to not to hire him again, this is the second time he did something like this.
Now Im going to pick my daughter but I called another taxi and going with him. He charge only Rs.200.
This time I asked the charge 4first.

It is better to ask for charge before hand :)

@infatuatedbby we have to call them.. Or else have to go their park.to get them.. I never go to the park, I always call and ask them to come to doorstep..lol

Yes I drive. I have licence. But we dont have 2 cars at only one and husband took it with him.hehe

Yes you are right. He knows I really need the taxi so he charge as much as he can. Very Unfair.

That is what was happening even with being on an Account here with one of the Taxi places I was using all the time, and even sometimes now is some of the drivers same exact distance one will charge less than $10 while others seem to always want to take the long way etc to where it runs me at least $12. I have called in the past and complained about some of the higher cost drivers.

Thus is sad...asking prior to sitting in taxi is always sensible.. Otherwise they will surely demand outrightly

Yes thats what I learnt fromthis incident. I should ask the charge first. They take the advantage as they know we really need the service.
