How to Make my Missus Happy

Today I made my missus very happy. First thing this morning after breakfast I performed annual maintenance on our lawn mower - yes, we need it already - and got it running smoothly so she could mow the front yard. I am unable to mow because of my arthritis and fibro, but she enjoys it so it works out for us. Once I'd finished that chore, I replaced the tail light on the camper and made sure my repairs worked by attaching the cable to the pickup and checking to make sure the brake light, turn signal, and tail light all worked. Now, I'm making lunch. Okay, lunch is heating up in the oven while I myLot. But I did preheat the oven and put the frozen pizza in it, and I set the timer. The important thing is, my missus is happy with what I have been able to get done this weekend, and today especially. How has your weekend gone?

It's always a good idea to keep your wife happy! Lol. You got a lot done. =) My weekend has been good since my husband was home for part of it with us.

We've been lucky to have our youngest son (21yo) home with us this weekend. He is on Spring Break and heading down to the beach for a few days of fishing with a buddy of his.

@Nawsheen I enjoy fishing now and then. Growing up, I would fish year round at the beach near my house.

Too cold here for any of that. We went out to lunch, then watched a movie with the younger boys. Most likely going to watch another movie after we pick up the teenager from his rehearsals.

You know what they say, "happy wife, happy life." Why I never get married because she would be miserable which means I would be miserable.

My main goal over the last 29 years has been to make her happy. I haven't always succeeded, but she's always given me credit for trying. Making me happy hasn't worried her. She's convinced making her happy makes me happy.

Yes, my garden is looking quite scruffy. I had plans to put in some new shrubs, but our local gardening centre closed, so back to the planning stage!

Too bad the local center closed. How far will you have to travel for your gardening needs now?

@DWDavis The distance isn't too great, but I use a bicycle to get around and the roads to the centres are not ones I'd choose to use. Still, there is usually a way around these things!

I have a splitting headache, but the weather is amazing... which might have brought on the headache. Tomorrow, a storm is brewing and heading in our direction!!

Not many wives would be happy about having to mow LOL - I love mowing but since its a lawn tractor it's fun to ride on.

Sounds like a good, productive morning. I finished grading my exams and entered the grades, so I'm ready for Monday. But then (tease for my latest post) I made a fatal mistake that landed me in jail.

VInce went to mow yesterday but first the battery was flat then it was out of petrol or diesel or whatever it uses. But the mowing has been done now so that's good. We have guests coming for dinner so we'll be cranking up for that soon.

Well glad you made her happy and she can do the chore that she loves. My boyfriend is the one that repairs things that i can't do and i appreciate when he does as well. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your day and relax.

I wish I had a Husband who was good at repairing things. He's good at putting curtain poles up, but that's hardly a task that needs doing a lot!

I have to do the same with housecleaning. My girlfriend has a dislocated shoulder that easily pops in and out. So I do most of it.
