Which song is fine for the funeral?

Here there is usually a default music for the funeral and most people will not choose their own funeral song. I don't know why, perhaps they have no mood to choose it and the default music is OK anyway. Yesterday I responded to a Mylotter's discussion and I was surprised to find that the song "You Raise Me Up" can be the funeral song. As I always think it will be a nice song to appreciate our parents in the day like Mother's Day or Father's Day. I have a different feeling to this song and I don't relate it to the funeral

There are no particular songs in my country unless if it was being requested. I think the families don't have the time to think about this.
