My two cents: Barron Trump and The Obama girls
Don't worry, I'm not picking on them - he's just a kiddo and the Obama sisters were at the time. :-)
Barron, Donald Trump's youngest song has been under fire already, several times for looking bored at several events. I find my own thoughts on this are mixed. I think he shouldn't be picked on or targeted because, after all, he is only a kid and he didn't ask for all this. There's a good chance it's pretty confusing for kids of famous people and political figures.
That said I think 10 is old enough for a kid to understand simple things like sitting up/standing up straight and not fidgeting, at least for short periods of time. Even though Barron didn't ask for it - his dad is president of the USA now and they, to a point, represent the American people. President is quite the respectable role and by Barron slouching, fidgeting, etc - looks like he doesn't admire the role of President. That may not be the case - he may indeed respect the fact that his dad is president, but it isn't the image it shows when he slouches and fidgets.
Several articles I read said that there was some hub-bub about Barron being autistic == to which the Trump family fiercely denies. That also makes me sad. Many Americans live with Autism. Taking such offense to it being suggested that Barron is autistic is sort of like slapping friends and families of people with autism in the face. But that's just my opinion.
Either way I do hope that Barron is seeing a therapist - being the son of the president would be tough and I hope he has some help or support in dealing with that, weather or not he has autism.
Another thought would be to get him some manners coaching perhaps. No I'm not being sarcastic. They have this for little kids who are into doing pageants.
The link I'm including is to a site that believes Barron's behaviors are to be attributed to autism. I am not saying I believe it or not, but I included it because it shows the fidget videos.
Of course Trump's supporters are up in arms saying that Trump's opponents are doing this just to humiliate Trump. I don't think so.
I remember a few years back where the Obama girls made the news. Apparently they were not at all impressed with being present at the Turkey pardon. And I, for one, feel the same way about that. Fidgeting, appearing bored... makes you appear like you don't have the proper attitude for representing the country and role of President. On the other hand we don't know what they're going through, we do know that they, also didn't ask for the pressures surrounding being the "first kids" and they were, after all, only teens and probably humiliated.

In short they are just kids and as such shouldn't be asked to appear publically too much. We do not know the strain they face. However it would be nice if their appearances were kept brief as to prevent added stress to them - however in those cases where they need to appear - at least if they could try to look somewhat polished would be nice.

This might sound heartless and make me seem like a bad person, but the Obama girls just spent eight years getting called apes and worse. I really have no sympathy for this kid.

Oh dang.... that's harsh. Poor girls. :/ I knew people were saying terrible stuff about Michelle, still bad... but at least she's an adult. I know that Uncle Joe was trying to explain to me the offense about the "autism" thing. To me, it's still not a slur, since I don't think poorly of people with autism... but maybe I'm not interpreting as other folks do.... no - not in the least. You are entitled to your opinion....

@teamfreak16 Oh no, I get where you're coming from... I don't follow politics a lot so I was largely unaware of all of the hate for the Obamas. I suppose it would figure though for a certain type of person. I knew some of the fans of Trump / Melania were saying rather horrible things about Michelle... which I thought was just sad. But I didn't know the girls were targeted all along.

He may have eye twitching and be very young and bored, perhaps even tired, but I doubt that he is autistic. I've worked with autistic students most of my life. Each one is different and needs a diagnosis by a certified MD, not the press.

Working with autistic kids must be challenging and rewarding. I known there are all different levels of severity.

To many politicians their children are just another tool in their armoury when it comes to courting favourable public opinion.
Personally I couldn't care whether or not the President or prime minister or whatever is considered a good upstanding 'family' man or woman. Are they competent at doing what they were voted to do? That's all that matters.

@FayeHazel Possibly not the best thing to admit to your date. I imagine you didn't stick around too long!!

I agree totally. I don't think that if a person is married/has children or not effects their job performance at any level, really. Someone I dated once was working at a high up position in prestigious company. Actually admitted to me that he was in a hurry to get married to someone, anyone - because the other high ups in the company were family men. Sad....

hmmm, i know nothing about Trump having a son described as autistic. if this is true, he should not be given special attention and treatment because the child should be regarded as normal being. if we give special care and attention to somebody with psychological problem, we are not teaching him to act normally as a human being, we are letting him act as a person with psychological problem.

Oh yes -- there has been speculation that Barron has Autism , this is something that the Trump's deny rather vehemently - but I agree. If he does have autism I hope they find someone who can work with his needs -- if he isn't -- I can understand that no one likes to be called something they aren't but I don't understand the fury over the speculation. Uncle Joe tried explaining it to me, but I really don't think down on autistic peoples , so to me , the speculation isn't an insult.

Children of celebrities can't escape the limelight. But the media shouldn't speculate or play-up their disabilities just to increase readership or viewers. Barron is only expressing what any normal 10 year old bored with social events would act. But then you might be right in that Barron's slouching, fidgeting behavior IS precisely what he thinks of his father being president..
Many also share Barron's opinion and there will be a lot of "fidgeting" for the next 4 years.
