Beside Myself, It Is What It Is

Well, I am now attempting to write a post without a clue as to what to write about. What amazes me recently is that I haven’t had the urge or the mood to write anything. I basically still don’t. But I feel as if I need to write something new here. I am sure I have mentioned before in some comments that I have a lot of posts that I used mohave posted on Bubblews. Now, not all of them are able to be reposted as is. Some of them also have to be tossed. But some of them can be revamped and posted here. Which I have been looking over a good amount of them.  Now with that said, I figured I would just write a post about just that. And here it is. Well, I am sitting here at my computer right now and typing away. I feel like I am empty right now. Nothing flowing from my brain to actually write about. It just feels strange to me. I wish I had a digital recorder attached to my brain, so that every time I get an idea it would automatically record and I can have a file of those ideas. But I am not a robot. I am a human. Well, hmm, what to write. I know the things I am typing now are words. But do they really mean anything.  I have some issues here in my apartment. I had an exterminator come and spray and put stuff down for mice. I think it is only one annoying mouse. But nonetheless, they are disgusting. My kitchen need an overhaul but I do not have the money to redo the entire thing. But I do need a new stove. And behind the stove is also disgusting. Only I cannot remove the entire thing because when it was installed like 28 years ago, they made the gas line too short. I need to have someone come in and remove the whole thing. Then go buy a new one.  I did price some online, they are not that much. Which is good. But I also need a new dishwasher. And those are cheaper. But I need a plumber and a contractor to come an assess the situation. I would go all out and have the kitchen redone. But again, the money. That is one thing that has me beside myself lately. Like I am itching to have the entire apartment redone. I wish I was handy at those things. But I am not. I do know what I want and how I want it. Okay, look, this post is getting too long. So let me end it here. Copyright © 2017 Steven Cetta All Rights Reserved Image Credit: CoolText.com inertia4, Beside, MySelf, inertia4posts

Well, this is a private house. So none of that. But it is cool. I will be getting my cousins friend to help fix things up here. It needs it.

@FayeHazel Right. Sometimes I wish I had a condo for that reason. But it's not. I am hoping that at some point I would like to move from here and live a more simpler life. I am done with all the clutter and things. I need things simple now. Except for my electronic toys that is. LOL.

@inertia4 Ah yes - that does put a little damper on calling maintenance.

You did good for not having anything on your mind. I have many days like that. Won't your landlord replace the stove and dishwasher?

@velvet53 That I will. I do need a professional though. That's why I have to try and call my cousins friend. He is a contractor.

My landlord is my parents. I cannot ask them for that. They own the house. I will get to that when I can. There are other things to deal with first around here. Like some repairs that need to be done badly. That I can talk to my father about. I am sure that he will have fixed. Then I can concentrate on the appliances.

Doing anything with older homes costs more, as we have learned over the years. We have been looking for a vintage stove (that we can afford) for a year. If we have $7,000 to waste, we could find a great one.

No, no vintage stuff for me. I am looking for new. And getting the apartment redone with a more modern flair.

@PatZAnthony I hear that. I am just waiting on my cousins friend. When he has time I can get the kitchen done. I have to do one room at a time though.

@Jessicalynnt No, LOL. I was talking about my brain. I wish it was automatic. I write all my stuff on my computer and I use a site called Penzu to store all my content. It is a journal site. They have an app as well. And it is all unlimited.

I think now the kitchen needs to take a back seat to some health issues. Health comes first. But hopefully things will work out in time. And time is something that is not very friendly to people.

Haha, had nothing to write, to the post is getting to long. Writing is funny that way. I feel you about the issues you are having with your apartment. We have the same problem with our house. Need to fix the roof as all the tiles are rotting and need to fix the electrical as one side of the house always shorts out if you plug in to many things. We also do not have the funds for any of that.

Yeah, repairs are a pain in the butt. But I am dealing with things one at a time. I need to find a place where I don't have to do anything. LOL. Yeah, like that's going to happen anytime soon. I just have to deal with things as they are right now. And as for writing, well, I will eventually get back into the groove. I hope.

Maybe you can find a friend who can help with some of the works that need to be done. I usually try to fix everything by myself, youtube videos are very useful for the simple stuff like installing a dishwasher or changing the sink pipes. I am staying away from anything that has to do with gas or electricity though as it is dangerous if you don't have experience. I think it will be a good idea to take one step at a time, and start fixing things gradually. This will be much easier if you don't have the cash for a full renovation.

I am not handy like that. I know, I know, but it is what it is. And believe me, this is not a minor thing. The kitchen is in real bad shape. I do need a professional to handle this job.

Well, both, if that makes sense. The house is owned by my parents. I have the third floor apartment. But the house is old now. It is an old Brownstone that was built way over 100 years ago. And these houses were not built like they are today. So fixing and repairs cost more money than a new more modern generic house.

I always get the urge to renovate and redecorate whenever I watch those HGTV shows. I can understand how you want to redo your kitchen but it is a costly reno especially when you have to pay someone else to do it.

You're from bubblews? What was your name, the same as here? If so I don't think I knew you over there. I didn't feel like writing yesterday, or today.. but also have stuff going on that makes me just want to sit and stare at the walls.. ugh.

Yes I am from the old Bubblews. And my user name was the same as here. That is my user name on every site I belong to. I know, the writing thing gets me sometimes. And I have so many things on my mind right now that yeah, I do sometimes just stare at the walls. Or I will watch a movie and then drift off.

You should be able to get a plumber to do most of that work. We had our plumber change out the flex gas lines to our gas dryer and gas stove and of course the floor was covered with filth. we had a time cleaning up that tile. It does cost money but if you get an old plumber from old school, maybe he will cut you some slack.
